Obedience unlocks the blessing of God promises in our lives.

This consecration month is a true testament of Word Center's Partners who value the vision and unity of this body of believers. God has spoke a word on Saturday the 24th, within hours it began to happen what he said.

As your pastor and leader I appreciate the commitment and desire to walk with me and pastor Dione as we follow Christ. What a difference it makes when people understand what ministry is really about. It's much bigger than the little island that we at times put ourselves on.

Those who think they have it don't and those who don't think they have it do.

Continue to prepare or eat food that have been BAKED, GRILLED, ROTISERIE, BROILED, OR BOILED.

Many of us should be at a point that we are no longer craving junk food, or a bunch of sweets. Some foods that you have eaten which you used sugar before, you now realize you can enjoy them without sugar.

Setting/Putting aside specific items to bring our flesh under subjection is something we should consistently practice as Christians. Fasting and giving up certain food items will help us to keep our flesh under subjection to the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 6:16-18 - Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

This week until the end of the fast there will be no red meats eaten. The meats allowed are: Chicken, Turkey, Fish, and Shell Fish (Shrimp, Clams, and Oysters). We are gearing up for further consecration.

Setting/Putting aside specific items to bring our flesh under subjection is something we should consistently practice as Christians. Fasting and giving up certain food items will help us to keep our flesh under subjection to the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 26:40-41 40 And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour? 41 Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Jesus was dealing with the disciples who he found sleeping after he asked them to keep watch while he went to pray. Verse 41 provides instructions for the disciples to keep praying so that they would not enter into temptation. The disciples were sleepy instead of being able to push past the temptation/want of the flesh to sleep; Jesus informed them that the spirit is willing and the flesh is weak.

Our spirit is willing to accomplish the things God desires for us to however, the flesh being weak fights against those things. We have to train our flesh to submit to God’s will for our lives. Eve by falling into the temptation of eating from the forbidden tree shows us an example of what happens when we allow our weak flesh to overpower a willing spirit. Instead of obeying God we obey ourselves. We know what doing this can cause.

Become people of discipline and understand through prayer and fasting we can train our flesh to become obedient to the will of God.

<![CDATA[4th-10th January Consecration Instructions]]>Fri, 02 Jan 2015 23:03:02 GMThttp://wordcentercf.org/1/post/2015/01/4th-10th-january-consecration-instructions.htmlSunday, 4th – Saturday, 10th January 2015

In the case of cereals ALL Cereals with sugars added are forbidden during this consecration time. (Frosted Flakes, Capt. Crunch, Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks, POPS, The Pebbles) You know which cereals have sugar so avoid them like the plague…

Just say “NO” to pretzels, (popcorn Pre-pakaged store bought), potato chips, French fries, nachos and the like. No Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Five Guys, Checkers, Arby’s, Roy Rogers, etc.

Most fast food is junk food.

MOM’S Organic is a good place to find sugar free fruits and Nuts…..

We are focusing on preparing our bodies for more we are gearing up to make positive lifestyle changes. Remember this consecration period we are detoxing our bodies. Drink water and plenty of it. No adding sugars or syrups to your water. Water is essential to cleansing or bodies as it flushes internal organs.

According to Daniel 1 after Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon besieged Jerusalem, there was an order proclaimed for sons of Israel who had no defects, good looking, showing intelligence, wise, and full of understanding to serve in the Kings court. Instead of eating the food from the king’s table, Daniel not desiring to defile himself or the sons of Israel with the king’s choice food or the wine he drank, asked that they would only be given vegetables and water to eat and drink.

After a 10 day trail the appearance of the young men were better and fatter flesh (smoother and fuller skin) than those who had been eating the king’s choice food. When we follow God’s plan as Daniel did the outcome will clearly be much more beneficial than trying it our way.

Prayer Focus: Unity, Developing Godly Discipline, Person Spiritual Growth, Spiritual and Physical Growth for Word Center, Good Stewardship, Debt Release, Health and Wellness.

ARE YOU KINGDOM MINDED OR "ME" MINDED?]]>
<![CDATA[30 DAYS OF CONSECRATION 2015]]>Thu, 01 Jan 2015 05:23:24 GMThttp://wordcentercf.org/1/post/2014/12/30-days-of-consecration-2015.html
Our ultimate goal for this fast and consecration is to develop ourselves to have and experience a deeper walk with The Lord. We will accomplish this through detoxing our natural and spiritual man. Natural fasting flushes out the toxins in your body.

Spiritually we can build up toxins because of having limited trust in The Lord, and or not living or walking in true faith as we should. There is also what we will consider as “Stinking Thinking” this is how our thought process operates in our lives.

Proverbs 23:7a “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he:” Thoughts are powerful and the devils mission is to affect our thoughts so that we begin to doubt the validity of God’s word.

This new calendar year as we enter into 2015, make it your mission to detox your physical body by fasting and eating healthy. As well as detoxing your spiritual body by presenting yourselves unto God, according to Romans 12:1-2.

FAST INSTRUCTIONS

Friday, 2nd – Saturday, 3rd January 2015

No sweets for the entire 30 days !

We start out by getting sweets out of our diets. No cakes, no pies, no cookies, no candies, no fruit roll – ups, no fruit snacks, no cracker jacks, no sodas, no kool-aid, no lemonade, no sweet tea, no sweetened or sugary drinks, no jellies or jams, syrups, no presweetened cereals or Jell-O, etc. Please be real with yourself.

Suggested food items: Fresh fruits (no canned fruits) are encouraged for this fast. Also nuts are good, none with sugar on them. NOTE: Make sure you do not have medical issues in which fruits will cause problems. Too much fruit may not be good for some people. If you are drinking juices they have to be 100% juice (no sugar or syrup added) 100% percent fruit or vegetable juice is okay for this fast (but do not drink more than a glass full of fruit Juice each day). Vegetable juice which is 100% vegetable no sugar or if you decide to blend fresh veggies or fruit this is ok. Reminder: This will be part of the fast for the entire 30 days.

Ensure to drink plenty of water during the fast. You will need it to flush out the unneeded toxins from your body.

Note: You may want to consult your physician before taking on a fast.

Thought: A key element in carrying out God's kingdom agenda is our management of what He has given to us. In this life, none of what we think we own do we really own. All that we "own" really belongs to God. As temporary managers, we are merely the stewards of the home. Therefore, we have to function according to His agenda, not ours.

Prayer Focus: Praying for discipline. Praying to become a better steward, Praying for your spiritual development, Pray for greater understanding of becoming a Kingdom builder.

Suggested Scripture for reading and reflection: Psalm 51
